To pair a C2C Connected Device with the Frame.io iOS app, it needs to be put into Pairing Mode. In this article, we’ll cover the Frame.io Camera to Cloud launch devices.
Devices:
Teradek Cube 655
There are two ways to set the Teradek Cube 655 into Pairing Mode: through the WebUI or through the display on the device itself.
NOTE: At this time, Frame.io C2C works only with the Teradek Cube 655. The 755 is currently not supported.
Teradek WebUI
Refer to the Teradek Cube documentation to connect to the Cube over a network to access the WebUI.
In the panel, navigate to Recording. If Recording is not enabled, click Enable Recording then Apply. There should now be a Frame.io section at the bottom of the page.
In Recording, under the Frame.io section, click Sync with Frame.io. A window will come up with a six-digit code.
Following the instructions in the Frame.io iOS app, enter the six-digit code when prompted.
After authorizing the device in the iOS app, return to the Cube WebUI and click Continue.
Teradek Device Display
Alternatively, the Cube can be authorized from the device’s display instead of the WebUI.
Using the joystick on the front of the device, navigate to
Recording
in the Cube’s Main Menu.Use the joystick to navigate down to
Frame.io
.Select
Pair
. The display will show a six-digit code.Following the instructions in the Frame.io iOS app, enter the six-digit code.
Teradek Serv 4K
You can pair the Teradek Serv 4K using the device’s WebUI. Before you begin, make sure you’ve connected the Serv 4K to a local network. See the Teradek Serv 4K QuickStart Guide for more information.
Using the navigation sidebar, go to Cloud Services.
Scroll down to Frame.io and click Link this Device. A window will come up with a six-digit code.
Following the instructions on Frame.io or in the Frame.io iOS app, enter the six-digit code when prompted.
After authorizing the device on Frame.io or in the Frame.io iOS app, click Continue.
Finally, navigate to Recording using the navigation sidebar.
If Recording is Disabled, click Enable and then Save.
At the bottom of the page, toggle on Sync with Frame.io to enable uploads.
Atomos NINJA and SHOGUN CONNECT
Frame.io C2C works with the Atomos CONNECT module for NINJA and NINJA V+ as well as SHOGUN CONNECT. Atomos devices need to first be paired to Atomos.Cloud then connected to Frame.io.
Follow the instructions from Atomos to pair your device to Atomos.Cloud.
On Atomos.Cloud, locate the device under the Devices tab.
Click "Add Destination" and select Frame.io.
Navigate to the Account and Project you would like to connect to and click Done.
Sound Devices 8 Series
Frame.io C2C works with the Sound Devices 888 and the Sound Devices Scorpio. On both devices, Pairing Mode can be activated from the display.
Connect an Ethernet cable to the Sound Devices and a router with an internet connection.
Power on your Sound Devices unit.
Press the Menu button on the front of the device. Using the selection dial, navigate to

. If the device has not been authorized to a Frame.io project yet, the display should readNot Connected
. Use the selection dial to enter this menu.Under Frame.io Setup, select the SSD, SD1, or SD2 as the Drive to Mirror. This should be the drive you set up the unit to record audio files to.
Under Frame.io Setup, select
Frame.io Connection
and change the setting fromDisabled
toEnabled
.If there is an internet connection, the Sound Devices unit will display a window with a six-digit code.
Following the instructions in the Frame.io iOS app, enter the six-digit code.
Return to the Sound Devices unit and press OK.
