Easily install the new Premiere Pro extension by first  downloading the extension. Before we start, the minimum supported version is Premiere is 9.0.2.
If you are using a Mac, double-click on the .dmg file that is downloaded and this will open the Installer. If you are using a PC, double-click on the .exe file.

Next, click Install Plugin (on Mac) or Install Extension (on PC) to begin the installation.

After running the installer, restart Adobe Premiere. In Premiere's navigation bar, click  Window > Extensions > select Frame.io.

  • If you are using a Mac and do not see Frame.io in your Extensions list, you most likely are on OS X 10.10 Yosemite and need to update the folder permissions of the Adobe Extensions. Follow these instructions to change the correct folder permissions.
  • If you are using a PC and do not see Frame.io in your Extensions list, you may have to install the extension manually by using these instructions.
