The Atomos products are HDMI and SDI monitor recorders. C2C supported Atomos devices can upload proxy files of recorded clips to Frame.io through the Atomos Cloud automatically.
Atomos supports C2C on the following devices
Atomos NINJA devices require an Atomos CONNECT module.
Note: An Atomos Cloud account is required to connect your monitor to Frame.io. A paid Atomos Cloud subscription is not required to access C2C. Click here for more information on Atomos Cloud plans and pricing.
Use this guide to quickly setup your Atomos NINJA with Atomos CONNECT, ZATO CONNECT or SHOGUN CONNECT for C2C with settings recommended by Frame.io.

What you'll need
1 Atomos NINJA, ZATO CONNECT, or SHOGUN CONNECT per camera
1 Atomos Connect module per NINJA
2 WiFi antennas per monitor or an Ethernet cable for wired connections
The latest firmware from Atomos installed on the device (v10.81 or later)
Any HDMI or SDI camera. Click here for more information on camera compatibility
An Atomos compatible drive formatted by the Atomos device
SDI or HDMI cable (some DSLR or mirrorless cameras may require a mini or micro HDMI connection)
A local network with internet access
An Atomos.Cloud account
Access to Frame.io or the Frame.io iOS app
A Frame.io Project with C2C Connections Integration enabled
A Frame.io account with permissions to add devices to the Project
If you’re using a NINJA, make sure the Atomos CONNECT module is attached. The SHOGUN CONNECT does not need an additional module.
Attach a power source to your Atomos device and power up the device.
On the Atomos device, use the Main Menu to navigate to the Connect menu and enable Connect Mode.
Using the WiFi menu, connect your Atomos device to a WiFi network. You will need to toggle WiFi on before you can connect to a network. Alternatively, if you’re using Ethernet, use the Network menu and set it to DHCP mode.
Navigate back to the Connect menu. Confirm that the Network is connected, then tap “Pair”. This will generate a unique string of three words.
Once logged in, navigate to the Devices tab and click “Pair Device”. You’ll be prompted with a pop-up window asking for the three words displayed in the Connect menu. Enter the three words and click “Next”.
When prompted, name your device. Click “Done”.
Now that the device is paired, click “Add Destination” and select Frame.io. Log in with your Frame.io account and select “Allow” when prompted to authorize Atomos.Cloud.
Navigate to an existing Frame.io Account and Project that has C2C Connections enabled.
At this time, proxies generated by Atomos devices have a variable bitrate (VBR) of 5-10Mbps.
Proxies aren't uploading from my device
First, make sure your device is connected to the internet, paired to your Atomos.Cloud account, and connected to a Frame.io Project with C2C Connections enabled. On Atomos.Cloud, make sure the Frame.io destination is enabled. You can use the three-dot menu to change the Frame.io project it is connected to.
Once you've confirmed that the Atomos device is connected properly, use the Date Time page of the Main Menu to make sure the Timezone, Date, and Time settings are accurate. After the device is connected to the web, it should automatically set the timezone.
Note: it is important that the Atomos device isn't set to any Date or Time in the future. This may prevent uploads to Frame.io.
I'm unable to record ProRes RAW while using C2C
ProRes RAW recording while using C2C is only available on the NINJA ULTRA at this time.
