There are two ways to share your files.

Share as a Review Page: This allows you to share certain files to an external reviewer, allowing for comments without users needing to create a account.

Share as a Presentation Page: This is solely for the purpose of presenting clips for viewing and downloading.

Review Pages in a nutshell:

  • Share files to external users for Review without them needing to create a account
  • Review Pages give you more control, external users only have access to the files you've shared.
  • Review Pages give you the ability to enable/disable downloading, set password protection and set an expiration date for the link.
  • Want to share files for viewing without allowing users to leave comments then skip ahead to sharing as a Presentation Page

Share as a Review Page in Detail:

Send files from your project to clients or external users for review with Review Pages. This allows the reviewer to leave comments without the need to create an account. Review Pages give you more control and privacy while allowing people to collaborate on files. Controls on a Review Page include: expiration date/time, passphrase protection, enable/disable downloading and enable/disable the ability to view all the versions within a shared version stack.

To share multiple files, click the purple Share icon at the top right, then select Share as Review Page.

Selected clips have a checkmark indicating the file will be included on the Review link. You can select individual files and also include files within different folders.

Note: When clicking Select All, this will select all files within that folder, it will not include any files within sub-folders.

Once you're finished selecting files, click Share # Selected Items.

You have the ability to customize your Link Settings. Give your link a name to easily identify this specific group of clips 👍

Then, adjust the Link Settings according to the receiving recipients. Allow them to Approve the clips, see all versions or download the clips. Secure your files by requiring a password.

You can even set an expiry date!

Email this Review link directly from from the Email Settings. Enter the email addresses, personalize it with a message and click Send.

💡 Top Tip:

If you don't want your external reviewers to have access to existing comments, create a version stack by uploading a new version, stacking it on top of the existing version and then Share as a Review Page.

Be sure to disable Show All Versions so they'll only see the newest version in the stack 🙌

NOTE: Collaborators do not have access to Share as a Review Page.

Viewing a Review Page:

Viewing clips on a Review link, is very similar to the Player Page within except  thumbnails are displayed across the top.

When external users click submit on their first comment we will prompt them to enter their name and email but this is not creating a account.

This is solely so you can see who has left the comments 🙌

If you have enabled Approvals, reviewers will have the ability to mark a clip as Approved, In Progress or Needs Review.
